Using YouTube

YouTube is the #1 place for people to search for videos online.  Users can watch and share videos or upload their own content.

Upload videos.  Once you have a YouTube account, you’re allowed to upload videos (HD or SD) to which you own the rights.  If it’s not yours, don’t upload it!!

Short videos like short attention spans.  People tend to gravitate toward shorter videos.  Don’t lose your audience with a mini-movie.  Videos must be less than 15 minutes long and files must be 2 GB or smaller to be uploaded to a standard YouTube account.

It’s all in a name…and a tag.  Video names and keyword ‘tags’ improve search results.  Be descriptive.

Common UNC Charlotte YT tags: ‘UNC Charlotte’ ‘UNCCLT’ ‘Charlotte 49ers’
